Managing Our Organizational Skills Everyday!

What is a MOOSE Binder? It is a 3-ring notebook that houses EVERYTHING the students and parents need to keep up with what is going on at school. No more wrinkled papers in the bottom of backpacks. No more lost notes, newsletters, or calendars. No more searching the house to find paper or pencil. Everything is in one notebook!

Why is it important to have? This binder helps students to establish good organizational skills their first year of middle school - skills that can carry on throughout their time in school.

Here is an overview of what is inside our MOOSE:


M.O.O.S.E. Binder Overview Managing Our Organizational Skills Everyday
Front Pocket of Binder: Yellow Work Folder	In the front pocket of the binder you will put your Work Folder. Parents, please let your children take responsibility for this folder. Don't take anything out of it; let your child manage it.
Zipper Pencil Bag: Supplies	This is where you will put pencils, colored pencils, stick glue, book orders, etc... so it doesn't get "lost" in the bottom of your backpack. Please keep supplies refilled. This is also a good place to put doctor's notes for excused absences, ICMM money, homework passes, etc...
Agenda: Student Planner	Your student planner is where you will write all of your assignments everyday for every subject. The student handbook is in the front of the planner. There are also several valuable tools in the back. Parents will need to sign it every night.
Portfolio Pocket Folder: Special Areas	You will put all Special Areas papers in this portfolio. Parents, please do not take any papers out of this folder. Your child is responsible for the work.
Paper: Loose Leaf Paper	This is where you'll put loose leaf paper. You need to keep at least half a pack of paper here at all times. Refill it every week.
Spiral Notebook: Daily Review Notebook	This is where you'll put a Daily Review Spiral Notebook in which you'll complete the daily reviews every morning.
Workbooks: Workbooks - All Subjects	This is where you'll put all of your workbooks.
Back Pocket of Binder: Green Take Home/Stay Home Folder	In the back pocket of the binder you'll put your Take Home/Stay Home Folder that contains all work that does not need to be returned to school. Please empty this pocket every night.
