Back when the world was simpler, the sun was always shining, and the milkman delivered the milk straight to the door, there lived a young brother and sister named Dick and Jane. For forty years, American elementary school students grew up with Dick and Jane teaching them not only to read but also the importance of values. Things have changed since Dick and Jane. The world has changed, our children have changed and our reading series have changed many times. Dick and Jane will always remain in our hearts.
